It is almost impossible to listen to the news without hearing news about new sightings of bedbugs somewhere. Even classy 5 star hotels were not spared by this pest that was almost eradicated in the 1940s and 1950s through the use of DDT. These little critters have made a remarkable comeback in recent years. International travel has certainly contributed to the reappearance of this pest in the USA. Travelers from countries like Africa Asia and Eastern Europe where these bugs are still common most likely gave these critters a free flight into the United States. Information About Carpenter Bees


Carpenter bees are large hairy bees that do not live in the same hive setting which many people associate with bees. They appear similar to bumble bees but they have tails that are black and shiny. They bear the name of carpenter bees because they dig their homes in wood rather than forming a home from various materials as do honey bees. Many humans look on carpenter bees as pests.
